Edo was a fishing village on the Sumida River on Japan's east coat until Ota Dokan built Edo Castle there in 1457. Edo attracted power and culture that would make it Japan's center...now Tokyo. Construct Edo's Castle, Buddhist Temples, its waterways and bridges, and a Machiya, a traditional town house, with its merchant or artisan space and living quarters. Construct a family, the Samurai, the performers, and artists who built and rebuilt this city against the challenges natural disasters.
