2025 Summer Program

Please Note: This is a 4 day camp week, there will be no camp on Thursday, June 19.

Make connections between the natural world of the Mill River watershed and the importance of protecting river ecosystems. Campers will explore the wooded landscape, lush greenery, walking paths, and bridges while seeking habitats for aquatic life, insects, and wildlife along the river. Create a water strider that floats while learning about the health of a river's ecosystem by testing water from the river. Study the plants of the Mill River and the importance of native species. Gain knowledge of the fish of the river by making fish with Sculpey, paper mache, quilled paper, and origami. Use magnets to demonstrate bugs whirling and create a mobile of a bird that flaps its wings. Learn more about how the ecosystem is a delicate network of species relying upon one another.
